Product description

Harrison Ford and Brad Pitt star in this harrowing thriller about an IRA gunman who draws an American family into the crossfire of terrorism. Frankie McGuire (Pitt) is one of the IRA's deadliest assassins. But when he is sent to the U.S. to buy weapons, Frankie is housed with the family of Tom O'Meara (Ford), a New York cop who knows nothing about Frankie's real identity. Their surprising friendship, and Tom's growing suspicions, forces Frankie to choose between the promise of peace or a lifetime of murder.

A very interesting movie that its worth checking out

A very interesting movie that its worth checking out
The Devil's own is a very interesting movie with Harrison Ford and Brad Pitt. It has the Irish atmosphere throw out the movie which is nice for the good Irish people. All I am going to say Pitt is involved in dealing with explosive dangerous materials being sent from the U.S to Ireland. Ford opens his family home to Pitt knowing he is just an average Irish immigrant working in construction but him being a police officer finds out after his house is raided by criminals wanting Pitt. It looks very good on Blu Ray. Not bad at all. The detail is very good. Give this movie a chance. Its very interesting and you will enjoy it. Great seller. Fast delivery.I am one happy customer. Thank You.

    Great film

Brilliant cast lead this well-written and genuinely gripping and dramatic crime/action/drama movie from the wonderful 90s cinema. The pace and tension are both well-matched. A hardened and murderous terrorist shacks up with an unwitting American family, who are thrust deep into a violent and unpredictable arms deal they know nothing about. Explosive opening that isn’t quite matched by the action scenes later in the movie, though overall a brilliantly-executed movie and well worth almost two hours if your time. Sublime.

Got this as a discounted BluRay and what a knockout of a film. One of Ford's and Pitt"s best and one that, for its time, dealt with the touchy subject of American IRA sympathisers and how they get placed with innocent families when hiding out. Brilliant and thought provoking.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sehr gutes Krimi-Thriller-Drama!
Reviewed in Germany on 11 August 2007

4.0 out of 5 stars Guter Film - einige Längen
Reviewed in Germany on 24 December 2019
